This channel is dedicated to Dave Richmond, who must be the most famous unknown bass player. He played on countless records during the sixties and the seventies but his name and his work sadly remain unfairly unknown. Listening to 'Cargo culte', the impressive final of Serge Gainsbourg's 'Histoire de Melody Nelson', when I was a teenager left a lasting impression on me and it took me years before identifying its author. After finally getting my hands on a 1963 Burns Bass Black Bison, the idea came to me to try to reproduce as faithfully as possible the sound and parts of this incredible musician. Following the publication of my videos, I had the unexpected chance to meet him, play his bass and collect his memories. I thank him again for his kindness and humility.
