Restoring an ancient abandoned Hamlet in Rural France a Day at a Time 🇫🇷 & Filming for Channel 4’s BAFTA nominated tv show Help! We Bought a Village (🇬🇧TV) In 2020 we had the opportunity to buy an ancient abandoned hamlet in the stunning Normandy countryside, parts of which date back over 900 years! It had sat derelict and covered in ivy for nearly 30 years! Nature was swallowing these buildings whole! Long story short we sold everything we owned and bought the lot for €26,000. We never imagined that we would one day own our own home let alone a whole village! Join us as we breathe life back into this once abandoned long forgotten village.
