Post-Art-Metal project by LAC and Xavier Depaepe. Opera Mauve was created by LAC near Paris in 2023, and became a real thing when LAC's old friend, genious guitar player and sound engineer Xavier Depaepe joined in 2024. (Previously) Luminous At Core -or LAC- is a post-artrock project created near Paris in 2017. LAC, its acronym, became its founder's and main artist's (Bruno Gaia) official pseudo as a musician, mainly because he's been a lakes enthusiast since he was a child (lac is French for lake). LAC's poetry derives from its creator's "Wasteland" manifesto: "Architecture of ruins, humanism of misanthropy and poetics of despair." Its lyrics tend to avoid the anecdotal and focus on what echoes whithin the inner depth of the psyche. LAC blends many other sources of inspiration into an ode to the pains and joys of being human and the catharsis of accepting a world where embracing darkness might be the only way to see light in its purest form.
